Our driving lesson trucks
Lern Ezy Driving School has two trucks - our Mitsubishi Pantech Truck (Medium Rigid), and our Ford Louisville Prime Mover (Heavy Rigid).

Going for the test

Medium Rigid (MR)
Our Medium Rigid truck is a Mitsubishi Pantech Truck GVM 8-tonne with a 5-speed Synchromesh gearbox.
On average it takes two to three lessons, plus a lesson & test to achieve your MR licence. We can take you out for lessons on your car licence as it acts as your learner's licence.
Heavy Rigid (HR)
Our Ford Louisville Prime Mover 15-tonne and over has a 15-speed road ranger gearbox (sometimes referred to as a crash box) where you have to double-clutch to move up and down through the gears.
It takes on average between 5 and 10 one-hour lessons to be at a test standard. Your car licence acts as your learner licence.
