Driver Test FAQs
On the day of your test, the cost will be $140.00*. This is calculated on an hourly rate plus you will need money to pay for your licence when you pass. Your licence fee incurs an additional cost to Queensland Transport.

To book your test you need to call Lern Ezy on 07 4152 7126 with your licence number and credit card. A booking fee is required by Queensland Transport when we book the test. This cost does not pay for anything else - IT IS ONLY TO HOLD YOUR TEST.
Yes, we can do a mock test for you. When you are close to your test, your Driver Trainer will put you through what you will need to know for your test.
Your Driving Test will go for 30 minutes with the Driving Examiner. Overall, you should allow 1 hour.
If you fail your test you need to pay another booking fee to Queensland Transport to enable us to book another test for you.
Lesson FAQs
If you book online, you'll need to pay with a credit card when booking the lesson. If you call and book a lesson, you can pay at the beginning or end of the lesson with the Driver Trainer either with cash or a credit card.
Yes, you can as long as you give us plenty of notice. To change or cancel your lesson, please call us or send an email or enquiry.
A normal lesson will go for 1 hour.
We do pick up from home providing it is within the town area.
Truck FAQs
There are different requirements, depending on which truck licence you're acquiring.
- For MR (Medium Rigid), you need to have held your car licence for one year in the last five years.
- For HR (Heavy Rigid), you need to have held your car licence for two years in the last five years.
- For HC, you must have held an MR or HR for one year.
No, but you do need to complete a written test at Queensland Transport before upgrading your licence.
The amount of truck driving lessons depends on the individual. On average, the students that we have put through take four to six lessons.
Yes. Basically, a synchromesh requires a single clutch depression to change gears whereas a constant meshing transmission requires a double clutch for upshifting and a double clutch with a rev in between for a downshift.
If you pass your test in a synchromesh truck you will have a condition B (synchromesh or automatic-only) on your licence. If your test is completed in a constant meshing gearbox (crash box) there are no restrictions to the gearbox type on your licence.
No. Every truck that you drive will be different, whether it is the gears, steering, brakes or engine. We will give you a basic formula for safe driving. It is up to you to practise and improve your skills.
